Tips to help you instill healthy habits in your children and create a supportive family environment

You try to teach your child to eat vegetables and read sight words for kindergarten – but every time he flatly refuses. You would like the whole family to gather for dinner every day – but there is always someone urgent to do. All members of your family understand how important physical activity is, but on weekends you do not go to the stadium, but watch TV.

Perhaps, everyone is familiar with such situations. But even in spite of the fast pace of life and workload, you can learn to lead a healthy and happy life. Let’s take a look at some tips on how to achieve this.

1. Grow vegetables in your own garden. Do you want your kids to enjoy eating vegetables? Grow them at home. Buy seeds and plant them in your garden with your children. Take care of the plants together: water them every day and watch them grow. Talk to your child about how he thinks when the plant grows and bears fruit. If you don’t have much experience in growing plants, don’t worry. Many vegetable crops (for example, carrots, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.) are unpretentious – they are easy enough to grow.

2. Cook food and read duly noted together. Cooking with your child can help develop healthy eating habits and strengthen communication and emotional connection with him. If you have a large family and don’t want too many people in the kitchen, divide and conquer. Prepare dinner with one of the children, and the next day, have your spouse do the same with the other child.

3. Get together. If you rush to work every morning and are busy with work meetings or fitness workouts in the evening, it may be difficult for your family to get together for dinner.
