Water Efficiency Rebate Program

In 2014, the City of Portsmouth's Water & Sewer Division introduced the latest effort to promote water efficiency in the City’s water and sewer systems - A Toilet and Washing Machine replacement rebate for eligible residential water customers. Qualifying Customers who replace older, inefficient toilets and washing machines with high efficiency, low flow models are eligible to receive a $100 rebate per toilet and $150 per washing machine.

Significant savings can be realized by participating in this program. Analysis by City staff shows that customers who have taken advantage of the rebates are seeing approximately 20 percent savings in indoor water consumption.
